The fifteenth Ambit exhibition was dedicated to the travelling exhibition The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2016, organized annually by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture. Dedicated to the long-lasting Swiss tradition of book design, this exhibition shows year after year Switzerland’s excellence in book production, printing and publishing. The most beautiful Swiss books of 2016 were displayed in the umlaut space on an elegant and functional wood installation created with London-based architects Nicholas Lobo Brennan and Astrid Smitham, while London-based Swiss designer Mathias Clottu organised the exhibition. The numerous guests who attended the preview were able to slip through the pages of the books and totally immerse themselves in admiring the fine designs on display.
