am[21]bit: MOST BEAUTIFUL SWISS BOOKS 2017
8th November 2018
6th December 2018
The Most Beautiful Swiss Books competition was established to promote and reward finest book design in Switzerland, at the behest of the famous typographer and designer Jan Tschichold in 1943. The Swiss Federal Office of Culture organises the competition on an annual basis. Its purpose is to recognise excellence in the field of book design and production, as well as drawing attention to the array of remarkable and contemporary books by Swiss designers, printers and publishers. The five-person jury, chaired by Gilles Gavillet, assessed the submissions and selected 18 titles as The Most Beautiful Swiss Booksof 2017. The exhibition is hosted in London by designer Mathias Clottu in the Umlaut space since 2016, with an installation created with Dyvik Kahlen Architects.
